Tutaev Motor Plant (TMZ) has begun testing a new 8801.10-04 series diesel engine "Progress" with a capacity of 465 hp
The engine was installed on a K-7M "Kirovets" tractor, which is currently undergoing operation in the Samara region. The main purpose of the tests is to adjust the fuel equipment of the Common Rail system.
The serial production of new engines is scheduled for 2026. TMZ specialists carried out the manufacture and bench tests of prototypes, as well as technological preparation of production and the release of a pilot batch of engines.
The 8801.10 engine is equipped with an electronic control system and a Common Rail accumulator fuel system of domestic production. To improve efficiency and reliability, cast iron cylinder heads were installed on the unit. To reduce loads on the bearings and improve ease of maintenance, the drive of the engine units (water pump, generator, air conditioning compressor) is carried out using poly-V belts with an automatic tensioner.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Tutaev Motor Plant will begin in April to produce a new type of car winch.
