The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial holding has successfully completed sea trials of the modernized RPK-640 boat of project 04430, intended for state structures of Russia. This was reported by the company's press service.
During sea trials, representatives of the quality control department checked the operability of the new equipment and assessed the degree of possible negative impact of this equipment on the boat's seaworthiness.
The boat is designed for inspection work, patrolling and operational work as an official and rescue water transport. The modernized version of the boat has a reinforced transom. This allows the installation of a 200 horsepower engine.
One of the key improvements is the presence of an automatic anchor winch, which allows the crew to remotely raise and lower the anchor. This greatly simplifies the operation of the vessel in strong winds, waves or currents. The boat is also equipped with a folding ladder to facilitate boarding from the water. These improvements make the boat more efficient and convenient for performing various tasks.
Earlier www1.ru reported that KMZ modified the RPK-640 boat.
