Last month, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant sold 1,898 new cars in the Russian market. Compared to April 2024, sales of new UAZs collapsed by 22%.
The most popular model of the company remains the commercial vehicle UAZ SGR, which is better known among car enthusiasts as "Bukhanka". The car is still afavorite for the military among civilian vehicles on the front line.
At the beginning of 2025, 6,136 new UAZ cars were sold on the Russian market, which is 32% less than in the same period of 2024.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the legendary Ulyanovsk SUV "Bukhanka" was very popular even abroad. It turned out thatEuropeans adore the old Soviet UAZ because of its simple design.
