Абсолютно нескучное Солнце: мощную вспышку предпоследнего класса зарегистрировали 19 мая

The probability of magnetic storms today is estimated at 60%

A flare of M3.3 was recorded on the Sun. It started at 11.22 Moscow time. This was reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of IKI and ISZF.

Telescopes show a bright event on the eastern (left) edge of the Sun. Apparently, the source of the explosion is still beyond the edge of the solar disk, since no active regions with groups of spots are visible on the visible side. It will most likely be possible to see what is here at all only by tomorrow morning, when the star turns 10-15 degrees around its axis and shows the site of the explosion.

A magnetic storm is also expected on Earth on May 19, 2025. The probability of disturbances is 60%.

Scientists predicted that on May 20 it would be possible to observe an "absolutely boring Sun". But the Sun burst out with a flare again.

In general, interesting patterns are observed. It is worth notifying that the Sun is going on vacation (they only wrote again this morning), as flares begin. The forecast for the impact on Earth is negative - as last time, activity flares up on the very edge of the Sun, from where only a super-emission can reach the Earth.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a magnetic storm crashed down on Earth on May 17.
