In April 2025, sales of new pickups in Russia decreased by 18% compared to the same period last year. A total of 1,843 vehicles of this type were sold in April.
The most popular brand among pickups was the Chinese manufacturer JAC, which accounted for 24% of total sales. 443 vehicles of this brand were sold, which is 18 vehicles more than in April 2024. Last year, JAC was in second place, and now it has overtaken Great Wall, which sold 324 pickups, which is 47% less than a year earlier.
The Russian UAZ ranked third with 211 pickups sold (a decrease of 42%). Sollers follows with 204 vehicles sold, which is 6% less than last year. The top five is rounded out by the Chinese Foton, which tripled its sales, reaching 203 pickups sold.
In the April model ranking, the Great Wall Poer took first place with 246 vehicles sold. JAC T9 is almost on par with it (242 pickups sold). The top five most popular models also included UAZ "Pickup" (211 units), Sollers ST6 (204) and Foton Tunland (201 units).
Since the beginning of 2025, 7,119 new pickups have been sold in Russia, which is 12% less than in the same period of 2024. The decrease in demand for pickups continues to affect the passenger car market in the country.
