Test pilot of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, Sergei Bogdan, spoke about the technical advantages of the Su-35S generation «4++» fighter compared to the previous Su-27 model.
According to him, unlike the Su-27, the Su-35S can literally spin in the sky in one spot.
To get this super-maneuverable aircraft out of a spin, the test pilot needs only 500 meters before the machine is in a horizontal position.
At the same time, the fourth-generation Su-27 fighter requires about 5 km to recover from a spin, that is, 10 times more altitude.
Whereas with the Su-57 it has already become possible to put the aircraft into a controlled flat spin and exit it at any desired point.
The Su-35C can fly at an altitude with a speed of 2.5 thousand km/h, while the maximum speed at the ground is 1.4 thousand km/h. The fighter has the ability to use weapons at supersonic speed.
Bombs and missiles weighing up to 8 tons can be placed on the 12 suspension points of the Su-35S, including advanced ammunition - from unguided missiles, air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, guided aerial bombs to the heavy anti-ship missile «Yakhont» with a firing range of 300 km.
