The "Russian Helicopters" holding (part of Rostec) has transferred nine new Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to the National Air Ambulance Service (NSSA). This batch of rotorcraft completes the fulfillment of contractual obligations for the supply of 66 aircraft for the air ambulance operator.
The new "eights" will be on duty in remote areas in different regions of the country. The machines can take off and land even on unprepared sites, and operate in extremely low and high temperatures.
The delivered multi-purpose helicopters are equipped with additional fuel tanks - two external and one internal. This allows to increase the flight range up to 1265 km. The machines are also prepared for the installation of an onboard boom with a winch for medical evacuation of patients where it is fundamentally impossible to land.
The rotorcraft is equipped with landing and searchlights. The cabins are prepared with places for the installation of medical modules. Each aircraft can transport two patients at once, accompanied by medical personnel.
