In Russia, tests of a new modification of the portable kinetic kill complex "Molot-Britva" have been successfully completed. The complex is designed to combat large aircraft and multirotor drones with a wingspan of 2 to 5 m.
According to the stated characteristics, "Molot-Britva" is capable of engaging targets at altitudes up to 2 km kilometers at speeds up to 200 km/h.
The portable version of the complex is equipped with a thermal homing head and uses 3.4 kg kinetic ammunition with a caliber of 100 mm (diameter 550 mm), developing a speed of up to 265 km/h (cruising – 230 km/h).
The stationary version with laser or radio command guidance has improved characteristics — the firing range is increased to 3.5 km, the speed of the projectile reaches 360 km/h (cruising – 330 km/h) with a mass of 3.5 kg.
In both versions, the striking element is a metal frame. In the test footage of "Molot-Britva" published online, it successfully caught up with and struck a drone.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the full configuration of the armament and protection of the T-90M "Proryv" tank became known.
