Russian anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs) "Cornet" are considered one of the most powerful in the world. The guided missile of the complex is capable of penetrating more than 120 cm of armor steel. Unique features of the warhead of the missile can effectively hit even the most protected enemy equipment, the Rostec State Corporation reported.
"Cornet" is capable of penetrating all types of enemy tanks in any projection through and through. Including piercing the strongest turrets from "forehead" to "back of the head". One hit is enough, neither anti-cumulative grilles, nor additional screens, nor dynamic protection save.
In particular, there is a known case when an American Abrams was pierced through the armor and engine without any obstacles. As a result, the statistics are simple: one "Cornet" missile - minus one vehicle from the enemy.
The state corporation emphasized that the powerful warhead of the "Cornet" cannot be stopped by the most modern multi-layered armor with ceramic elements, layers of tungsten alloy or depleted uranium.
