At Novosibirsk State University (NSU), an innovative system has been developed using artificial intelligence to automatically hide unwanted content in video and audio materials. This was reported by the university's press service.
The system is designed for both ordinary users and large media companies, online cinemas, and video hosting services. The development is capable of independently recognizing scenes with smoking, profanity, extremist materials, and adult content. The system covers up unwanted fragments with mosaics or "beeps" them out.
The developers are confident that their solution will allow publishing safe content that complies with legislation and platform rules. The system filters materials before they are published, saving authors from the need for manual moderation.
When creating the product, the team conducted a market analysis and did not find similar solutions. Most existing tools are limited to photo format or require manual intervention. The new system automates the process, which greatly simplifies publication and increases content security.
Currently, the team is completing testing and configuration of the system. The service will be available in two versions: free for users and commercial for companies.
