AvtoVAZ will conduct a quiet recall campaign for the new Lada Niva Sport. The reason is identified problems with bending rods. The manufacturer has decided to replace the defective parts in the sold cars free of charge.
Only a few Lada Niva Sport vehicles have been sold, so the campaign will not be widely publicized. However, new batches of the model will not be delivered to dealers until AvtoVAZ eliminates all defects.
The problem arose after the March delivery of a limited batch of cars, timed to coincide with the start of sales on the model's birthday. During operation, defects were identified, including bending rods. At the same time, the case with the self-tapping screw in the fuel line turned out to be isolated and did not recur on other copies.
