Dagestan and Oman may establish joint drone production

Quadcopters are assembled at the Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant

Omani authorities have expressed interest in joint drone production with Russia. This became known during negotiations between the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, and the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Oman, Qais al-Yousef.

According to the press service of the Government of Dagestan, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of industry and trade.

 We are ready not only to increase exports, but also to explore the possibility of creating joint industrial enterprises in Oman.

Representatives of Oman expressed interest in cooperation with Dagestan in the field of development of unmanned aerial systems, the press service added.

In February 2023, the first quadcopter drone was assembled at the Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant. Most of the components are of Russian production. UAVs can be used for military and civilian purposes. The plant management planned to start mass production of these aircraft.
