In anticipation of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, authorities in the Chuvash Republic have announced possible temporary restrictions on mobile internet on May 9. The head of the region, Oleg Nikolaev, explained that these measures are related to ensuring security during mass events.
Such restrictions may include reducing data transfer speeds or temporarily disabling certain services. Similar practices are used in Russia and other countries during major events to prevent possible incidents related to the use of communication networks.
