The Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise" has been reorganized into a joint-stock company with 100% federal ownership — the entire block of shares will be transferred to the Rostec state corporation. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 5.
The document on the official legal acts portal states that the president has accepted the Cabinet's proposal to transform the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise" into a joint-stock company.
Thus, 100% of the aircraft plant will be transferred to federal ownership — they will be transferred as a property contribution to the state corporation for assistance in the development, production, and export of high-tech industrial products, Rostec.
The "Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise" was founded in 1929, and it is engaged in the overhaul, modernization, and re-equipment of various types of helicopters, navigation, and communications.
During the Great Patriotic War, the enterprise was called "45th Aviation Repair Workshops," produced grenades, mortars, and automatic weapons, and also repaired aviation equipment.
