Prosecutor's Office Reminds: Drones are Prohibited in Moscow

Security measures have been strengthened in the capital ahead of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory

The Moscow Prosecutor's Office has reminded that Moscow is a no-fly zone for all types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ban applies to civilian drones, model aircraft, and commercial copters.

Special attention is paid to the period of festive events related to the 80th anniversary of Victory. In addition to drones, firecrackers, fireworks, and other pyrotechnic products are prohibited. Their use in crowded places, on roofs, and balconies can lead to administrative or even criminal liability. Violators face fines of up to 50 thousand rubles for individuals, and sanctions for legal entities will include suspension of activities for up to 90 days.

Citizens are advised to report any illegal flights and violations of the law to law enforcement agencies.
