Innovative Cable Solutions for Space and Airfields Presented by "Spetskabel" at the "Innoprom. Central Asia" Forum

The Russian manufacturer showcased unique developments, including an ultra-thin space cable and a combined system for airports

At the international forum "Innoprom. Central Asia," which took place from April 28 to 30 in Uzbekistan, "Spetskabel" presented advanced technological solutions that could change the approach to designing critical infrastructure.

Among the exhibits was a cable for onboard systems of spacecraft, which is already being called a breakthrough in the field of space communications. This cable, which has no analogues in Russia and is designed for the SpaceWire standard, is capable of operating in extreme conditions — from -198 to +200 °C, making it indispensable for space missions.

Among other new products, the company presented a coaxial phase-stable radio frequency cable РК 50-2-42-C — it ensures reliable signal transmission in conditions of high temperatures and vibrations. The company also presented a small-sized optical cable with a diameter of only 0.6 mm. Despite this thickness, it is exceptionally reliable due to the use of aramid braiding.

Of particular interest at the "Spetskabel" stand was a novelty — a combined sealed cable for airfields. It combines optical communication lines, telephone networks, and radio frequency feeders in one solution, which simplifies the deployment and maintenance of the airport infrastructure. This solution reduces installation costs and increases system reliability.
