Electric scooters may be prohibited without "Gosuslugi." Kicksharing services have proposed mandatory user verification on the portal.
The initiative is intended to protect minors, the most "accident-prone" category of users.
Currently, mandatory verification is only in effect in Moscow, while in other Russian cities, scooter rental is possible by creating an account and linking a bank card. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2024, 32% of those injured in accidents involving electric scooters are adolescents aged 10 to 17.
The Ministry of Digital Development (Mintsifry) does not plan to introduce mandatory verification through Gosuslugi, but is ready to conduct an experiment. The ministry noted that the implementation of verification throughout the country would require changes to legislation.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that rental electric scooters will be integrated with public transport.
