In the first quarter of 2025, hackers carried out about 801 million cyberattacks on the websites of Russian companies. This is twice as much as in 2024. The most affected were the websites of logistics services, government agencies, and credit and financial organizations, according to Solar Group.
Experts from the Solar Group, an architect of comprehensive cybersecurity, recorded 801.2 million web attacks on the websites of Russian companies in the first quarter of 2025 – this is twice as much as in the same period last year. The main victims were the websites of logistics services, government agencies, and credit and financial organizations.
The study included 134 Russian online resources from various industries, protected by the Solar WAF service. Among them are companies from the public sector, IT, logistics, retail, banks, industry, telecommunications, and other fields.
In the first quarter of this year, logistics services were subjected to the largest number of attacks. Thus, the number of attacks on one of the online resources increased by 5500 times compared to the same period last year and reached 18.3 million.
Most of the attacks were carried out using bots that intercepted order numbers from fake sites. With their help, many requests were created on the official website of the company, which led to a sharp increase in the load on the servers and their failure.
The five most attacked sectors of the economy also included the public sector, retail trade, cargo and passenger transportation, and the service sector in the oil and gas industry.
Hackers have also become more active in searching for vulnerabilities in web resources. Over the year, the number of scans increased by 5.4 times, reaching 678 million. In addition, the number of complex attacks on websites tripled.
