The Icebreaker Festival started in the Northern capital of Russia on May 1! Residents and visitors of the city will be able to visit the icebreakers "Kapitan Nikolaev", "Mudyug", "Kapitan Plakhin" and "Krasin".
Arctic ships are moored to Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment. They are open for free visits from May 1 to 4.
The organizers have prepared excursions, thematic exhibitions, and master classes. Admission is free, but registration is required to visit the ships.
The first Icebreaker Festival in St. Petersburg took place in 2014. The event was timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the icebreaker fleet of Russia. Since then, it has become an annual event.
