Yaroslavl Motor Plant (YaMZ) has begun road tests of the new domestic 6-cylinder YaMZ-770 engine. The unit is being tested as part of the Ural S35510 dump truck with a 6x4 wheel arrangement.
In order to confirm the reliability of the engine and obtain validation as part of the URAL S35510, the engine will need to run 20 thousand km of vehicle mileage.
YaMZ-770 — is a highly promising in-line diesel engine with a power of up to 620 hp and high performance characteristics.
The launch of mass production of YaMZ-770 will start in 2026.
