Soviet self-propelled mortar "Nona-SVK" has not lost its relevance thanks to a new alliance on the battlefield

The combat vehicle crew operates in tandem with reconnaissance drones

The crew of the "Nona-SVK" self-propelled mortar of the "Center" group of troops destroyed a MaxxPro armored personnel carrier. The combat vehicle works in tandem with reconnaissance drones, which detected a moving vehicle and immediately transmitted the coordinates to the artillerymen.

Having received the target coordinates from the UAV crews, the crew and the air cover group advanced to the firing position. After aiming the combat vehicle at the target, the servicemen fired a series of 120-mm high-explosive fragmentation shells from a closed firing position, destroying the enemy's foreign armored vehicle moving in the open.

The accuracy of artillery fire is adjusted in real time, which allows military targets to be destroyed with a minimum number of shots.

Released in 1984, "Nona" still has no analogues in the world. After several stages of modernization, it is a mortar, a cannon and a howitzer in one. The maximum firing range with a high-explosive fragmentation projectile is almost 9 km.

At the same time, the "Nona" gun allows the use of any foreign 120-mm ammunition without any structural changes, for example, APCM from the French RT-61 rifled mortar, the firing range of which is up to 17 km.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Caliber" and "Onyx" carriers, the frigates Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Kasatonov, entered the Barents Sea.
