Russian farmers increased drone purchases for agriculture in 2024

Drones were implemented in 12 regions of the country

The Russian agro-industrial complex is actively using unmanned aerial vehicles for agricultural needs. In 2024, 28 drones were purchased, which is 7.7% higher than the indicators planned by the authorities. This is stated in the final report of the Ministry of Agriculture for the past year.

The introduction of UAVs takes place within the framework of the federal program "Stimulating demand for domestic unmanned aircraft systems." Almost 40 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. They mastered 99.87%.

The use of drones in agriculture is permitted in 12 regions: Tatarstan, Altai and Stavropol Territories, Volgograd, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Tambov and Ulyanovsk regions. These regions have special legal regimes that allow drones to fly with minimal regulatory burden.
