"High-Precision Systems" Believes That UTD-29 Will Remain in Demand for Many Years to Come

The modernized UTD-29 diesel engine for airborne combat vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and other Russian military equipment has not yet exhausted its modernization potential and will be in demand for a long time. This was stated by the "High-Precision Systems" holding (part of Rostec).

The organization emphasized that work on improving the diesel engine and adapting it to various conditions is ongoing.

The modernization potential of the UTD-29 is far from exhausted; for many years to come, this diesel engine will remain in demand both in Russia and abroad.

The UTD-29 diesel engine is installed on the BMP-2, BMP-3, BTR-MDM, BREM-L, BT-3F, and BMD-4M. The engine's power is 500 hp, which is 200 hp more powerful than its predecessor. In addition to running on diesel fuel, the UTD-29 can be fueled with gasoline and kerosene.
