The fifth dredger of project 93.159A was laid down in the Astrakhan region

The work is being carried out by shipbuilders of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center

The fifth dredger with a replaceable milling/rotary-bucket ripper (project 93.159A) was laid down at the production site of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center (Narimanov, Astrakhan region). This was reported by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

The dredger is designed for dredging operations, including the construction of berths, bridges and other hydraulic structures, and the laying of underwater pipelines. Vessels of project 93.159A can be used to clean rivers and reservoirs.

The act of laying the keel of the new vessel was signed by the Russian Classification Society.

This is the fifth of six serial dredgers of project 93.159A, which are being built by order of GTLK. Characteristics: overall length — 60.45 m, overall width — 12.3 m, draft — 1.5 m, board height at midships — 2.97 m, pipeline diameter — 550 mm, autonomy — 14 days.
