A new life for "Little Red Riding Hood": the Soviet GAZ-M21T taxi has been restored at the Moscow Transport Museum

GAZ-M21T features an orange-red roof

Specialists of the Moscow Transport Museum have restored a rare GAZ-M21T taxi. People called the car "Little Red Riding Hood".

This unique car was created on the basis of the Volga, and it stood out for its unusual color. Since the end of 1965, cars that had undergone major repairs at the Second Automobile Repair Plant in the capital received an orange-red roof.

GAZ-M21T was used as a taxi from 1956 to 1975. Such cars accounted for more than a third of all Volgas produced. Nowadays, only a few copies of these cars have survived.

The museum car belongs to the third series of the first generation. This is confirmed by separate front seats, one of which can be folded.

The original marking plate on the car has not been preserved, which makes its exact identification difficult. Now "Little Red Riding Hood" will become part of the museum's exposition, where visitors will be able to see this symbol of the Soviet automotive industry and learn more about its history.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Moscow Transport Museum has restored the RAF-22031 ambulance.
