The decommissioned demagnetization vessel SR-54 (project 130) of the Black Sea Fleet has been put up for auction in Sevastopol. Information about the lot, the cost of which starts from 14 million rubles, appeared on the GIS Torgi portal.

The vessel SR-541 was previously part of the 2nd group of the 205th detachment of the auxiliary fleet management and was based in Sevastopol. The winner of the auction will receive scrap of ferrous and non-ferrous metals with a total weight of 1112 tons. According to the terms of the auction, the buyer must have a license for the procurement, storage and processing of scrap metal.

SR-541 was built in Poland in 1984. It was included in the Black Sea Fleet in 1986. Demagnetization vessels, the so-called "domes", are designed to reduce the magnetic fields of warships, including protection against detonation on mines with a magnetic or induction detonator.
