Kalashnikov Concern is ready for mass production of the «Khaska-10» air cushion vessel. This was announced by the company's CEO Alan Lushnikov to the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov.
The R&D has been completed, the vessel has been created. The next stage of the project is the development of mass production of «Khaska-10» with the prospect of increasing its carrying capacity for the most efficient operation in the Arctic
Anton Alikhanov inspected the vessel and assessed the quality of its construction. The Minister believes that such specialized equipment could become the basis for transporting the necessary resources to remote areas of the Far North. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and oil and gas companies may be interested in «Khaska-10».
The vessel is capable of operating at temperatures down to -50 °C and reaching speeds of up to 40 knots. It will be a good alternative to air transport.
During the visit, the Minister also got acquainted with other civil projects of the Rybinsk shipyard and discussed the prospects for the development of vessel production.
