Specialists of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) have carried out test runs of emergency and standby diesel generators on the MPSV06 project rescue vessel "Kerch Strait". It is being prepared for mooring trials, the USC press service reported.
A check was also made of the interface connections with the ship's control system for readiness to receive and transmit warning and emergency signals.
The 7 MW vessel has a length of 86 meters, a width of 19 meters, and a speed of 15 knots. The "Kerch Strait" is designed for patrolling, duty and assisting ships in distress with the evacuation of people.
The tug can operate on the routes of the Northern Sea Route. The start of mooring trials is scheduled for May 2025.
