A rare car, known in the USSR as the "Elephant", has appeared at an online auction in the Saratov region. This is a "Moskvich-401", manufactured in 1954 at the Moscow Factory of Small Cars.
Since leaving the assembly line, the car has traveled 97,899 km. The rarity is located in the village of Ust-Kurdym.
The "Elephant" was produced from 1954 to 1956, during which time the car underwent several modernizations. Initially, the "Moskvich-401" was a copy of the pre-war Opel.
The "Elephant" has undergone restoration work, and the necessary documents for registration have been properly оформлены. The cost of the retro car is 990 thousand rubles.
