The developers of the latest Russian Su-75 Checkmate fighter may incorporate features of sixth-generation combat aircraft with a view to future projects when designing it, military expert Dmitry Kornev said.
According to him, with the most modern electronics and engine, the Su-75 immediately sets a certain groundwork for the future and will allow it to reach generations 5+ and beyond.
We are waiting for the light fighter Su-75 to enter testing and mass production, in which features of a sixth-generation machine should also be implemented.
Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport, noted that the company is promoting the Su-75 Checkmate fifth-generation light tactical aircraft (LTS), including to countries in the Middle East. According to him, during consultations, the parties are discussing the possibility of joint development and integration of avionics, modern onboard systems and foreign-made weapons.
The maximum combat load of the Su-75 is 7,400 kg, the flight range without external fuel tanks is 2,900 km at a speed of up to 1.8 Mach, which is one of the best indicators in its class.
