As part of a planned exercise, the small amphibious assault hovercraft "Evgeny Kocheshkov" and "Mordovia" of Project 12322 "Zubr" performed artillery firing at aerial and naval targets at the Baltic Fleet's naval training ranges. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The firing was carried out from 30-mm automatic AK-630 installations at simulated aerial targets and mock unmanned boats of a mock enemy. During the execution of fire missions, all targets were successfully hit.
Small amphibious assault ships of Project 12322 "Zubr" are the largest and fastest hovercraft. Their design is unique and has no analogues in the world.
Thanks to its design features, the ship is capable of moving not only on water, but also on land, landing troops deep in the enemy's defenses.
