Let robots do the work, not humans: the "Volchanin" ground drone will lift up to 500 kg of weight

The platform itself weighs 600 kg and has a range of up to 30 km

Specialists of the Volsk Military Institute of Material Support have developed a new Volchanin ground logistics drone with a carrying capacity of 500 kg. This was reported by Krasnaya Zvezda.

The device, which can evacuate the wounded and deliver goods, is already undergoing testing with the military. Currently, the institute, in collaboration with the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant, has manufactured the first four platforms.

The new ground vehicle with the Korshun digital control system, also developed by employees of the branch, is a platform weighing 600 kg and with a range of up to 30 km.

The drone is equipped with a pair of silent 5.5 kilowatt electric motors, allowing it to move a trailer with a load weighing 950 kg. The battery capacity is 16 kilowatt-hours.

A digital control system with a remote antenna or a drone repeater operating at a distance of up to 10 kilometers is used to operate the platform.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Burevestnik frigate, built by Russia for the Indian Navy, was shown in the photo for the first time.
