The "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) will create the KMZJET-180 water jet propulsor for a large research institute, the company's press service reported.
The KMZJET-180 water jet propulsor is a single-stage axial-diagonal high-pressure pump. It creates a jet stream that propels the vessel.
KMZJET-180 is fully developed by KMZ and has a number of features. Its impeller and straightening device are made of stainless steel, which has a positive effect on durability, the dynamic self-cleaning grid allows you to clean the inlet window from blockages without the use of diving equipment, and the inspection hatch located outside the boat allows you to reach the impeller without the risk of flooding.
The weight of the propulsion unit is 55.6 kg, the power is 70-250 hp. KMZJET-180 is designed for vessels with a displacement of up to 1500 kg.
