VTB Bank is considering creating a competence center in China. It will focus on developing technologies for devices with artificial intelligence. The bank believes that the initiative will help form a base for the further development of the AI segment in Russia.
Chinese scientific specialists, large companies, and startups will be involved in the center's work. It is also planned to analyze new products in the field of AI. The center will develop various tools and create software and hardware systems.
There are certain obstacles to the development of the Russian AI market. VTB spoke about the shortage of necessary resources: video cards and graphics processors. Language barriers and the lack of technical documentation in English have also become a problem. VTB notes that the lack of systematic information about new AI devices and legal mechanisms for interaction in high technology complicates the situation.
