Specialists of the International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of Russia have tested the latest Stalker robotic complex. The 27-ton mine-clearing robot with a rotating flail trawl is designed to clear terrain of explosive objects in all types of fields.
The developers equipped the Stalker with a 540 hp engine and a hydrostatic transmission. The demining machine is controlled by an operator using a control panel at a distance of up to 1 km. The image is displayed on the command post from four cameras installed on the robot.
The maximum speed is up to 10 km/h, and when trawling - from 1 to 5 km/h. The machine also has a pile trawl, which allows you to make a continuous passage in minefields containing anti-tank mines and anti-personnel mines installed in the ground to a depth of 30 cm.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new communication system for kamikaze drones has been developed in Russia: it bypasses all existing electronic warfare equipment.
