Izhevsk-based company "Tekhkrim" has launched mass production of "Tandem" cartridges in 7.62x54R caliber. The ammunition is designed for any small arms of the corresponding caliber, the main feature being two bullets inside the cartridge case.
The double-bullet cartridge allows for doubling the density of fire due to a greater number of striking elements at a distance of up to 250 m when firing at lateral targets and up to 350 m when firing at receding or oncoming targets.
The upper bullet weighs 8 grams, the second weighs 7 grams. The average mass of the cartridge is from 26 to 28 grams, the average initial velocity is at least 650 m/s.
The bullets have a bimetallic jacket and a steel unhardened core. The case is copper-plated.
