«Irteya» will begin mass production of base stations supporting 2G, 4G, and 5G communication standards simultaneously by the end of 2025.
The Single RAN technology underlying the development allows operators to use a unified hardware platform for all network generations, reducing infrastructure costs. The first batch of 2000 stations will be delivered this year, and production volumes are planned to increase to 10–15 thousand units annually by 2027.
The stations provide mobile internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps in one frequency band and up to 300 Mbps when aggregating multiple frequencies. The software implementation of Single RAN provides flexibility in network configuration, and the hardware is based on domestic developments.
The share of Russian components in the new base stations does not exceed 5% — «Irteya» intends to increase it to 30% by 2027.
«Irteya» is a joint venture between MTS and the «Advanced Technologies» fund (part of the «Aquarius» Group).
Earlier, www1.ru reported that «VimpelCom» had begun testing base stations from the domestic developer «Irteya». If the testing is successful, the operator may conclude a contract worth from 20 billion to 30 billion rubles.
