The Zelenograd-based motorcycle factory "Rus" announced a few days ago a new electric motorcycle "Arktur", assembled from Russian and Chinese components. Now insiders have revealed its characteristics.
The electric bike will be equipped with a Chinese electric motor with a power of 10 kW (peak - 20 kW), which is equivalent to 13.6 and 27 hp, respectively. The maximum speed will be 140 km/h. The range on a single full charge is 120 km. At the same time, the dynamics are still unknown - it will largely determine the mass of the traction battery, which, as a rule, is quite heavy.
Two types of drive are being considered - chain or belt, as well as two options for the rear suspension - swingarm or cantilever.
The frame, external panels and controller are created in Russia, and the electric motor and battery are supplied from China. The estimated cost of "Arktur" already exceeds 1 million rubles.
