Road tests of the updated version of the Aurus Senat sedan, developed by FSUE "NAMI", have begun in Moscow. One of the car prototypes, hidden under a camouflage film, was spotted near the television center.
The car received a number of visual and technical improvements, including new bumpers, a modified radiator grille, modernized optics with matrix headlights and an aluminum hood. The interior has also been updated, making it more comfortable.
In technical terms, there have been no changes: the car is still equipped with a hybrid power plant that combines a 4.4-liter V8 engine and an electric motor. All this works in tandem with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
In St. Petersburg, they are planning to restart the Toyota plant, which previously belonged to the Japanese automaker. Announcements about the recruitment of personnel for a new assembly site have already been posted on one of the job search platforms - it is there, presumably, that the assembly of Aurus cars may begin.
