Despite the optimistic start, insiders reported that only 20 production cars and 16 painted bodies were produced in two months of mass production, which indicates low production volumes. The factory assembled an average of ten cars per month.
The new version of the SUV is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 122 hp and an upgraded suspension, and has also received about 140 improvements, which should improve its characteristics and comfort.
AvtoVAZ confirmed that sales of the new version of the Lada Niva Sport SUV will begin on April 5, timed to coincide with the 48th anniversary of the legendary Niva. The price of the new car will be 1.7 million rubles.
