Критически важный компонент для импортного медицинского оборудования разработали в МИФИ

Разработка поможет избавиться от дефицита запчастей для медтехники, возникшего после ухода из РФ западных компаний

Scientists from MEPhI have developed a prototype of an electron source that is used in medical systems for the treatment of oncology. The development will help to get rid of the shortage of spare parts for medical equipment that arose after foreign manufacturers left Russia.

A team of young scientists and graduate students under the leadership of Andrei Batov has created a design that can be mass-produced at Russian enterprises.

We tried to make the source design as technologically advanced as possible

After creating the prototype, the team began creating a pre-production prototype. Production is planned to be organized at one of the factories in the Belgorod region from domestic components. The first series of electron sources will be released by the end of 2025.
