A hotel-on-wheels carriage, with tickets costing around 300 thousand rubles, will begin running between Moscow and St. Petersburg in April. The innovation was initiated by Grand Service Express.
It presented a unique "Grand de Luxe" carriage, equipped with a double bed, a private shower, and a cozy common area.
The first trips with the new carriage are scheduled for April 4. It will be attached to train No. 53/54 on Fridays and Sundays. For the specified amount, a VIP passenger can take one more adult and a child under 10 years old. The ticket price includes dinner and breakfast, transfer in the city of arrival, and access to the business lounge in St. Petersburg.
Company representatives noted that such carriages were previously used only for charter transportation, but now they have decided to offer them on regular flights as well. The innovation may attract wealthy travelers who want to enjoy comfort during the trip.
