Scammers call Russians posing as RKN employees

The attackers are trying to convince victims that their personal account on the "Gosuslugi" portal has been hacked

Scammers have started calling Russians, introducing themselves as employees of Roskomnadzor, and informing them about the hacking of personal accounts on the "Gosuslugi" portal. They require a SNILS number to unlock it.

The Roskomnadzor Help and Information Center receives many calls and letters from citizens who report suspicious calls from unknown persons. Scammers introduce themselves as employees of Roskomnadzor and inform citizens that their personal account on the "Gosuslugi" portal has been hacked.

According to Roskomnadzor, calls are made via WhatsApp from numbers that do not belong to employees of this organization. The agency emphasized that government bodies do not use messengers to communicate and do not request personal information. These calls are not related to the activities of RKN.

Earlier it became known that scammers are using a new deception strategy: they contact Russians, posing as employees of the Central Bank. Under the pretext of closing an "international account," fraudsters offer to transfer a large sum of money from it.
