Modern Glass has launched the first production of extra-large curved glass units (a translucent building structure made of two or more panes of glass bonded together along the perimeter with frames and sealant) with a length of 12 m in Chelyabinsk, in Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
Mullioned (curved) glass units up to 12 meters long can be used in architectural projects of skyscrapers, business centers, hotels and airports.
To implement the project, the company purchased new equipment, including a double-sided glass tempering furnace. Investments in the creation of the production line exceeded 2 billion rubles.
Modern Glass plans to produce up to 12 thousand m² of large-format curved products per year. Suppliers of oversized glass are Larta Glass and Salavatsteklo. The level of localization of finished products is 100%.
