The Scientific and Production Center "Unmanned Aviation Systems" (SPC UAS) has developed a prototype of a future large transport unmanned aircraft. The creators plan to lift a large drone into the air in August-September 2025 and begin a program of flight tests first, followed by joint UAS tests in performing applied tasks over the Siberian taiga.
The dimensions of the drone are impressive: the fuselage length is 6 m, and the wingspan is 10 m. The carrying capacity of the device is more than 200 kg. The unmanned aircraft is equipped with a 100 hp piston engine and is capable of flying up to 1000 km at a speed of up to 180 km/h.
The main purpose of the device is cargo transportation. The dimensions of the fuselage are designed to accommodate a sufficiently large payload.
The drone will have its own non-landing cargo delivery system developed - by dropping the container by parachute. This will allow delivery to points where there is no runway.
The device also has all the capabilities of modern drones: observation and monitoring, automatic take-off and landing, real-time information transfer to the operator, and following a designated route.
Earlier www1.ru reported that modernized anti-aircraft missiles will be included in the ammunition of the latest Corona-E air defense system
