Large-scale raids against couriers on powerful e-bikes held in Moscow — they are required to have a driver's license

Police confiscate illegal transport and fine violators

Raids against couriers using powerful e-bikes without driver's licenses have been carried out in Moscow and the Moscow region. This is reported in a number of Telegram channels.

Police confiscate such vehicles and send them to impound lots. Violators are issued administrative fines and their documents are checked.

If couriers are found to have problems with the legality of their stay in Russia, they are sent for deportation.

Many courier e-bikes can accelerate significantly faster than 25 km/h. This automatically puts them in the category of mopeds, which require a driver's license to operate.
