Former head of NCC and Aquarius, Alexander Kalinin, has announced plans to create his own mobile and desktop operating systems within the next three years.
To achieve this, he plans to involve the companies "SMI Holding" and CommuniGate Pro. These OSs will be targeted at the consumer market, and the data servers will be located in Russia.
Specific details of the projects and investments were not disclosed, but experts note that there is already an oversupply of domestic operating systems on the market.
In addition, the cost of developing just the computer version of the system could amount to several billion rubles and require up to five years of work. Operating systems based on Android may be associated with legal risks.
