The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has sent requests to Internet providers to examine the existence of barriers when providers gain access to houses built by the PIK developer.
The agency will conduct an inspection in connection with numerous complaints and information in the media about possible restrictions on access to communication services for residents of the company's residential complexes.
In accordance with current legislation, providers must be provided with free access to apartment buildings, and charging fees for placing equipment in such houses is not allowed. The FAS of Russia intends to study the information provided by providers and determine the reasons that could lead to restrictions on the rights of residents to choose a communication operator.
The service will request information from regional housing inspections about the activities of management companies working in the residential complexes of the PIK developer. If violations of antimonopoly legislation are detected, the agency will take the necessary response measures.
Providers whose data will be reviewed as part of the audit include companies such as ZAO "Intersvyaz", AO "ER-Telecom Holding", AO "Ufanet", PAO "Megafon", PAO "MTS", PAO "MGTS", AO "Company "Transtelecom"", PAO "Rostelecom", PAO "Tatelecom", PAO "Vimpelcom" and AO "Komkor".
The audit will cover 84 residential complexes of the PIK developer, located in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Ulan-Ude, Blagoveshchensk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Tyumen, Yaroslavl and Obninsk.
Earlier www1.ru reported that thousands of residents of PIK residential complexes cannot get home for the third day due to a failure in the provider's operation.
