Muscovites will be able to observe a partial solar eclipse on March 29 from 14:50 to 15:10 Moscow time. This eclipse will be partial, which means that complete night will not fall on Earth, and the Sun will only be partially covered by the Moon.
For residents of Moscow, the eclipse will be unnoticeable, as the Moon will cover less than 10% of the solar disk. In St. Petersburg, it will be somewhat more noticeable, with about 20% of the Sun's disk being covered. The maximum phase of the eclipse is expected between 14:50 and 15:10 Moscow time.
This year there will be two partial solar eclipses: one on March 29 and another on September 21, but Moscow residents will not be able to see the eclipse in September.
