Мощнейшая магнитная буря началась на Земле: могут возникнуть проблемы в энергетических системах

Radio navigation disruptions are also likely

A magnetic storm began on Earth on Wednesday, March 26. This was reported by the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI "IPG").

Currently, the degree of disturbance of the Earth's magnetic field is at level G2 ("moderate") on a monitoring scale of five indicators, where G5 is "extremely strong" and G1 is "weak."

The incoming stream of fast wind has, among other things, a fairly strong magnetic field. Under favorable circumstances, these factors can lead to the formation of a noticeable zone of auroras in 3-4 hours.

At level G2, problems may arise in energy systems, high-frequency radio communication disruptions, and radio navigation disruptions. Auroras are recorded up to a latitude of 50 degrees.
